How to Place an Order:

So, you’re wanting to place an order? Wonderful! Here’s what you need to know:

• It’s best to send your request in writing through email or the “Request a Quote” form on the home page. You should receive a response within 24 hours.
• If you need a cake same day, please visit our online store and purchase a pre-selected design from our gallery. You may also visit the bakery and select ready made cakes from our showcase. You can also call us at 615-367-2355 and we may be able to do something custom for you!
• All custom orders must be paid in full one week in advance.

Finalizing with Payment:

All of our custom orders that exceed $60 must be paid in full 1 week prior to pickup or at the time of order if less than a week. This does not apply to wedding cakes. Please see wedding cake information for payment requirements. We accept cash, all major credit cards, and Apple Pay. We do not accept checks.

Pickup Policy:

All of our cakes are constructed well and travel is fairly easy. Please use common sense while transporting your cake. Please cool your car ahead of time if it is warm outside. Heat, humidity, and direct sunlight are a cake’s worst enemy, so keep it as close to room temperature or cooler as you can. Please check for accuracy of your order BEFORE you leave the bakery. If you see a problem with your order, it must be corrected before you leave. Please do not attempt to bring your cake back. Cakes should not travel back and forth as it may compromise the structural integrity. If you’re sending someone else to pick up your order, be sure they have the details so they can approve the final product. HomeStyle Bakery is not responsible for any accidents that happen outside of our bakery.

How to store your cake:

Multi-tiered cakes, fondant covered cakes, cakes with fondant decorations, or cakes with cream or fruit fillings must be refrigerated. Please take your cake out of the refrigerator 1 hour before serving. Our cakes taste best at room temperature. All other cakes, especially with edible images, store best at room temperature.

Delivery:

We are happy to deliver any of our products to your location. If the delivery location is within 5 miles of our bakery, the delivery fee is a $25 flat rate. If traveling outside of the 5 mile radius, our delivery is $45 + $2 per mile roundtrip during business hours. Outside of business hours, it is $75 + $2 per mile round trip.  This must be paid in advance, not upon delivery.

Design Policy:

We enjoy making handmade products, and due to the nature of our medium, designs will vary from cake to cake. Just like a painter could never replicate an original painting, we also cannot replicate a design down to finite details. This is what will make your cake special and unique. HomeStyle Bakery reserves the right to determine the level of replication and creative license. We take pride in our work and want our customers and their guests to be wowed by the final product. If you are unhappy with you order, please notify us as soon as possible so we can make things right.

Allergy Warnings:

At HomeStyle Bakery, we make everything from scratch. It is difficult to accommodate any dietary needs for our customers. We can do our best to separate the items, but contact is always a possibility. HomeStyle cannot be held liable for any incidences that occur because of a dietary restriction.

Tiered Cakes and Layered Cakes

Often times, these two terminologies are used interchangeably, but it’s important to know the difference. A layered cake is comprised of more than one layer of the same size cake. A tiered cake is when you stack a layered cake on top of another layered cake of a different size – similar to how a wedding cake is built. Tiered cakes have intricate support systems and require extra care and consideration. We recommend delivery for all cakes with 3 or more tiers.

How much do your cakes cost?

There is no cake created equal in a custom bake shop. We are able to create any shape, any size, any flavor , with any special features that you need. Because of this, each cake is priced uniquely to your specifications. Please feel free to call, email, or visit us for any questions about a receiving a quote.

Can you put a picture on my cake?

Yes!  We love personalizing with your photo. Please email us a high quality image or bring the picture into our store. It will be printed on an edible rice paper using edible ink. You can cut it and eat it just as if it were icing on the cake.

Do you offer cake or accessory rentals?

We do have an array of cake and cupcake stands available for rental. Our stand rentals are $45 for 3 days. We do require a security deposit for the retail value of the cake stand of your choice.  Your security deposit will be refunded to the original card used to purchase the stand once it has been returned undamaged. Please do not attempt to clean the stand using chemicals or abrasive cloths. Only wipe away crumbs and icing with a dry cloth. We will clean and polish the stand after it has been returned. We currently do not rent faux/false/fake cakes, but we can happily make one for you to keep.
